There could surely be no better way of celebrating the 125th anniversary of the opening of Carnegie Hall than a collection of recordings of unique concerts and recitals from the most famous concert hall in the world.  

This two-CD set with live recordings from the archives of RCA Victor and Columbia Masterworks documents in excerpted form many of the musical high points of the Hall’s history, including Leontyne Price’s debut recital, Marilyn Horne’s 60th birthday gala, and the legendary “Concert of the Century.”
